DSP Media launched a new idol group called ‘Mirae Sonyeon’ (English: ‘Future Boy’). DSP Media is a leading idol agency that has spawned legendary groups such as Sechskies, Fin.K.L, SS501, Kara, Rainbow, and many more. Mirae Sonyeon is scheduled to release member teaser photos and videos starting February 2.
On the morning of February 1, DSP Media announced the group’s debut by releasing a logo video on their official SNS accounts. The video features the Mirae Sonyeon logo in a mysterious background. The logo itself is a combination of Mirae Sonyeon’s (미래 소년) hangeul consonants ‘ㅁ’, ‘ㄹ’, ‘ㅅ’ and ‘ㄴ’ facing each other. Apart from the logo, DSP also announced that the official English name for the group would be ‘MIRAE’ which means ‘future’.
‘Future Boy’ is a name that suggests a new future for K-Pop and the group’s strong desire to be a team that opens up together. In addition, the name contains the desire to step together into the future by always working together with the public.
MIRAE started its debut promotions with the release of the logo video. Furthermore, photos of the seven members will be released on the group’s social media at 00:00 KST along with the teaser video which will be released via the group’s official Youtube at 12:00 noon KST starting on February 2.
After revealing the members, MIRAE will release its own variety show content through the V Live and Youtube channels starting in mid-February. This reality show program will show the preparation process for MIRAE’s debut as well as showcasing the variety show abilities of its members in eight episodes.
MIRAE, which is in the early stages of its debut, will be releasing a debut album in March.
