This term derives from two phrases: 지키다 (jikida) and주다 (juda). 지키다 (jikida) means to protect, take care of, look after, guard, and defend. Meanwhile 주다 (juda) means to give something to somebody. In this context, this term means to protect. We find this term in line 지켜주지도 못했지 너란 꽃 (Jikyeojujido mothaetji neoran kkot). This line could be translated to “Couldn’t even protect a flower like you”. It implies that he is upset after break up with his girlfriend. He thinks that the reason they break up is that he couldn’t even protect or take care of his precious one. He is blaming himself as he is not able to keep their relationship.

This is an adjective phrase of 소중하다 (sojunghada). 소중하다 (sojunghada) means precious or priceless. We find this term in line 소중함을 알게 될까 (Sojunghameul alge dwelkka).
