Jang Hyuk was born in Busan, South Korea
He was born as Jung Yong Joon
He attended to Dankook University majoring in Theater and Film
Jang Hyuk also studied Film at Seoul Institute of the Arts
Before he debuted in entertainment industry, he changed his name to Jang Hyuk as his stage name
He made his acting debut in SBS drama Model in 1997
In 1999, he appeared in music video of popular boy group “g.o.d” entitled To Mother
He got his first leading role in action comedy movie Volcano High in 2001 along with actress Shin Min Ah
His popularity increased after he appeared in popular drama Bright Girl’s Success along with actress Jang Na Ra in 2002
Jang Hyuk, Song Seung Heon, and Han Jae Suk were accused avoiding military duty in the late 2004
