Following the third wave of coronavirus attacks in South Korea, some staff working in the broadcasting industry were also tested positive for COVID-19. This week alone, staff or crew from 1theK, EBS, and a supporting actor for drama ‘Hush’ has been identified as COVID-19 patient.
In the aftermath, entertainment agencies and broadcasting stations had to halt their album release, drama and TV shows shooting. Actors, crews, and staff are taking the COVID-19 test and undergo a self-quarantine period after contact with COVID-19 carriers. Such actions have to be taken as preventive measures to stop the spread of the virus.
Lastly, all members of the boy group TomorrowXTogether received the COVID-19 test and got negative results. The group members have to undergo the test after staff from EBS’ Live Broadcast Talk! Talk! Boni Hani had contact with a COVID-19 patient. TXT was the guest star for the show on November 19th.
In this regard, TXT agency Big Hit Entertainment stated that the group will resume their activity starting from today. They made the decision because there was no official request for self-quarantines from the quarantine authorities, and the COVID-19 was a compulsory procedure for people who had contact with COVID-19 carriers.
