There are many rumors about Aespa but the one that is talked about the most is how the group consists of 4 members. Let’s get to know the four members!

Each K-Pop group has a special meaning to their name and when fans first saw the name, many were curious about what it meant.

SM Entertainment has personally written an explanation in English about the meaning behind the name.

It could be that the girls will be debuting with a rather modern and futuristic concept, but of course, nothing has been confirmed.

Winter

Winter or Kim Min Jeong was the first member to be introduced to the public.

Born in 2001, Winter holds the position of the group’s main dancer and rapper.

Karina

The second member introduced by SM Ent. was Karina. Her position is as the center, main vocal, leader and visual.

She was born on April 11, 2000 with the name Yoo Jimin. Before being officially introduced, Karina appeared on SHINee’s Taemin’s song “Want”.

Ningning

For those of you following SM Rookies Girl, you must be familiar with Ningning.

This youngest member comes from China with the name Ning Yi Zhuo. Ningning herself was born on October 23, 2002.

Giselle

Giselle is the last member to be introduced and she comes from Japan. Her real name is Aeri Uchinaga. She was born on October 30, 2000.

Previously, SM Ent. had announced that Aespa would officially debut on November 17, 2020.

They finally debut with their first single “Black Mamba” at 6:00 p.m. KST or Korean time.

4. Pre debut, Karina appeared in CF with EXO’s Kai

While K-Pop fans haven’t stopped fascinating her visuals, Karina appeared with EXO’s Kai.

Apart from showing off her dancing skills in a special show, Karina also shows off her acting skills when she and Kai portray the story of two characters who meet both in the real world and in another dimension.

Interestingly, the story from this special Hyundai ad showcase seems to be related to Aespa’s concept of having real-world members and avatar members in cyberspace.
