From I Love You lyrics by Treasure above, we get some interesting phrases to discuss more.

1. 생각에 (Saenggake)

I believe most of you are familiar with this phrase. It seems that this term almost appears in every K-drama or movie. 생각에 (Saenggake) derives from 생각하다 (saenggakhada) which means to think of, remember, or consider something. It’s a banmal form so you can use this word only with your friends, boy/girlfriend. Meanwhile, you should use 생각합니다 (saenggakhamnida) or 생각하세요 (saenggakhaseyo) for formal and polite way.

2. 실수한 (Silsuhan)

실수한 (Silsuhan) means mistake or fault. Line 실수한 건 아냐 자연스럽게 (silsuhan geon anya jayeonseureobke) explains the previous line 사소한 것 하나까지 널 따라해 (Sasohan geot hanakkaji neol ttarahae). Those lines imply that it’s not a mistake if I follow every step of yours. It just happens as it is. It’s not kind of mistake but a normal thing.

3. 같아 (Gata)

It’s taken from this line 내가 바보 같아 보이겠지. 같아 (Gata) derives from the base form 같다 (gatda) which means similar, like, alike, same, or common. Based on that line context, it means ‘like a fool’. You can also use 처럼 (cheoreom) after noun. Both are synonyms. It’s found in another line 나만 바라봐 뜨거운 태양처럼 (Naman barabwa tteugeoun taeyangchereom). 태양 (Taeyang) = sub and 처럼 (cheoreom) = like (adverb).

4. 돌아서지 마 (Doraseojima)

This is a combination phrase of 돌아서다 (doraseoda) + 지마 (jima). 지마 (Jima) indicates negative form that put after verb. 돌아서지 마 (Doraseojima) is an imperative sentence which means don’t turn around. 돌아서지 마! 내 손을 잡아 (Doraseojima! Nae soneul jaba) implies that you don’t need to turn around and just hold my hand so we can keep moving forward.

5. 널 사랑해 (Neol Saranghae)

The meaning is obvious: I love you. 널 (Neol) means you as an object. It is the shortened version of 너를 (neoreul). Particle 을/를 is used after object while particle 은/는 is used to indicate a subject. So, if we refer to the complete grammatical pattern, we should say 나는 너를 사랑해 (naneun neoreul saranghae).
