ASTRO (아스트로) is a six-member boy group formed under the agency Fantagio. The name ‘ASTRO’ means star in Spanish, reflects the team’s aspiration to be a star for the public. The group consists of MJ, JinJin, Cha Eunwoo, Moon Bin, Rocky, and Yoon Sanha. Before their official debut, the group was known as i-Teen (Fantagio trainees), they also starred in the web drama ‘To Be Continued’. ASTRO debuted with their first mini-album ‘Spring Up’ on February 23, 2016, selling out 1,000 tickets of their debut showcase in just one minute. They gained recognition as one of the best rookies of 2016, even nominated for the best rookie award at prestigious awards shows such as Melon Music Awards 2016, Mnet Asian Music Awards 2016, Gaon Chart Music Awards 2017, and Golden Disc Awards 2017. ASTRO won the group’s first music show trophy for the song ‘All Night’ on January 29, 2019, at SBS MTV THE SHOW.
