Loona (이달의 소녀) is a twelve-member girl group launched by BlockBerry Creative. It consists of members Heejin, Hyunjin, Haseul, Yeojin, Vivi, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, Yves, Chuu, Go Won, and Olivia Hye. The group also has 3 sub-units: Loona ⅓, Loona Odd Eye Circle, and Loona yyxy. They have been releasing promotional singles since 2016 before their official debut. Loona officially made their debut with the first mini-album [+ +] on August 19th, 2018. Their successful debut earned them several Rookie of the Year nominations from several awards including MAMA 2018, Melon Music Awards 2018, and Genie Music Awards.
