Lee Yubi was born and grew up in Seoul.
She is the daughter of actress Kyeon Mi Ri and actor Lim Yeong Kyu.
Her birth parents divorced in 1993.
Lee Yubi’s mother remarried businessman Lee Hong Heon. She later legally changed her name to his stepfather’s surname.
She has a younger sister who is 2 years younger than her, Lee Da In (who is also an actress and Lee Seung Gi’s girlfriend), and a stepbrother who is 6 years younger than her Lee Gi Baek.
She graduated from Ewha Womans University with a bachelor’s degree in Vocal and Music.
