Channel A news, which aired on the 21st, reported that BTOB’s Jung Ilhoon joined the military just before being sent to the prosecution on charges of drugs usage.
According to Channel A, Jung Ilhoon was caught for marijuana usage after his accomplices underwent a drug investigation by the police earlier this year. He has been habitually using drugs since four to five years ago after drug components were detected in his hair. Jung Ilhoon confessed that he purchased drugs with virtual currency to avoid investigation. Anonymity is guaranteed for purchase through virtual currency.
Regarding Jung Ilhoon’s enlistment as a social service worker in May, Channel A also insisted that “It coincides with the time when he was investigated by the police on drug charges, and he enlisted just before the police handed over the case to the prosecution.”
Cube Entertainment, the agency of Jung Ilhoon, explained, “We had no idea about his involvement in drugs investigation, and his enlistment date was originally postponed from March (to May) because of Corona-19.”
Meanwhile, Jung Ilhoon received a lot of love as a member of group BTOB in 2012. He joined the military on May 28 as a social service worker.
