Bigbang member and leader G-Dragon is preparing for a solo comeback. Today G-Dragon’s agency YG confirmed the news, releasing an official statement, “It’s true that G-Dragon is currently working on a song”.
G-Dragon, who debuted with Bigbang in 2006, announced that he had extended his contract with YG Entertainment earlier this year after being discharged from the military in October 2019. G-Dragon was actually scheduled to make his first comeback after finishing his mandatory military service with Bigbang by appearing at Coachella music festival in California, United States. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world since the beginning of 2020, the festival was eventually canceled.

YG Entertainment also revealed that G-Dragon is working on a new album. The new album will be G-Dragon’s first comeback album since Bigbang’s studio album ‘MADE’ which was released in December 2016. Bigbang also released a digital single titled ‘Flower Road’ in March 2018, before the members began their military services.
