Yoon Jisung, the leader of Wanna One, greets fans through official SNS after his discharge from the army. On the 13th, he completed his military service in the army and was discharged as a sergeant.
Yoon Jisung took the last vacation during his military service last month and was discharged without returning to the army. He complied with instructions to discharge without returning to his army unit to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Earlier, on May 14 last year, Yoon Jisung enlisted in the army. He joined training on 7th Division’s Recruitment Training College in Hwacheon, Gangwon-do, and continued his military service as an active-duty soldier.
In 2017, Yoon Jisung was selected as a member of the project group Wanna One through Mnet’s ‘Produce101 Season 2’. He was active as a member and the leader of Wanna One until January 2019. Since then, he has been working as a solo singer.

Due to the current pandemic, he didn’t hold a special event to celebrate his military discharge. Instead, he shared several photos during his military service, including a photo with EXO’s D.O. which surprised many fans. The two grew closer after starring in a military theater production titled ‘Return: The Promise of the Day’.
On the same day, he announced that he will host an online fan meeting on Friday, December 25th, 2020. Held on Christmas Day, it will have the theme of ‘Christmas Story’.
