Wanna One members become actors in a number of projects, from movies to theater to dramas. Who are they?

1. Ong Seongwu
Ong Seong Wu who debuted in Wanna One starred in his first JTBC drama “At Eighteen” in 2019. He played the main character alongside Kim Hyang Gi, and his acting received recognition from the audience. He managed to win the “Best New Actor” award at the “Korea Drama Awards”.
This year, Ong Seong Wu has 2 acting projects; the JTBC drama “More Than Friends” with Shin Ye Eun and the movie “Life is Beautiful” with senior actress and actor Yum Jung Ah and Ryu Seung Ryong. Ong Seong Wu is a member of Wanna One turned actor who is the most productive this year.
2. Park Jihoon
Park Jihoon made his comeback drama through JTBC’s “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency”. Why comeback? It’s because he actually has debuted as child actor back in 2006. He starred in theatrical dramas and TV dramas. Some of which were: “Jumong” (the main actor was Song Il Gook, Song Triplets’ father), “Kimchi Cheese Smile” (starring actor Kim Soo Hyun) and “Iljimae” (the main actor was Lee Jun Ki).
Many Wannables still don’t think that this cute Wanna One icon was a child actor. He is currently starring in the webdrama “Love Revolution” which airs on Kakao M. Adapted from the webtoon, Park Jihoon successfully portrayed the character Gong Juyoung who was cheerful and blinded by his love for Wang Jarim. He’s probably the most experienced member of Wanna One as actor, huh.
3. Lai Guanlin
Choosing a career in China, Lai Guanlin who won the 7th place on “Produce 101 Season 2” has acted in 2 school-themed dramas this year. The first is the adaptation of the famous Thai film, “A Little Thing Called First Love” where he co-starred with Zhao Jinmai.
Afterward, he starred in the drama “Don’t Think about Interrupting My Studies” which will still be airing next year. Being one of Wanna One members turned actor, Guanlin will play Lin Xiao Ran, a student from sports class who starts to befriend Nan Xiangwan at school.
4. Lee Daehwi
Lee Daehwi is widely known as the center of the theme song for “Produce 101 Season 2”; Pick Me. After Wanna One, Daehwi debuted at AB6IX with another one of Wanna One members, Park Woojin. He often appears on TV as guest star on several variety shows. In 2019, he also debuted as actor in a drama.
Acting as Dong Jin Woo in 2019’s “Mon Chouchou Global House”, this drama tells the story of the life, romance and friendship of 6 people who live under one roof.
5. Hwang Minhyun
Minhyun, who debuted in 2012 with NU’EST, was actually already acting in a sitcom a year after his debut. In 2013, he starred in the sitcom “Reckless Family Season 3”. Leaping up to 6 years later, he just started acting again. He started off as a theatrical actor for “Marie Antoinette”.
Only in 2020 will Minhyun join the list of Wanna One members to become the next actor by acting on TV screens for the JTBC drama “Live On” with Jung Da Bin. It tells the story of a romance in the extracurricular activity of a broadcasting club, between the chairman Go Eun Taek (Minhyun) and Baek Ho Rang (Jung Da Bin).
