EXO’s Xiumin will return to fans after completing his mandatory military service. His agency SM Entertainment confirmed on Monday, “Xiumin is currently on a late-year vacation and is scheduled for military discharge on December 6th, however, he is released early, in accordance with army protocol to discharge him without returning to the unit to prevent the spread of Corona 19. There are no separate events to be held for his military discharge”.
Xiumin joined the army on May 7, 2019, and faithfully served his country for approximately 1 year and 6 months. He also appeared in the military musical ‘Return: Promise of the Day’.
Xiumin who is EXO’s eldest member became EXO’s first member to fulfill military duty. Following Xiumin’s enlistment, D.O. joined the army in July last year, he is set to be discharged in January 2021. Other members Suho and Chen also joined the army in May and October this year, respectively.
